Ungeheuer

Johann Adam Ungeheuer, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 12.

The 1767 census records that Johann Adam Ungeheuer came from the German village of Etzenheim in the Kurtrier region.

Wiedemann (Leitsinger)*

Joseph Wiedemann, a butcher (Fleischer), and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766.

Joseph Widenmann [sic] and his wife Anna Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 54.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Wiedemann came from the German village of Kilmeis in Schwaben (Swabia).

Zimmermann (Leitsinger)*

Adam Zimmermann, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.

Adam Zimmermann and his wife Anna Margreth [sic] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65.

Amen (Leitsinger)

Hans Amen, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and children (Hans, age 12; Kunigunda, age 9; Barbara, age 7; Georg, age 4; Johann, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.

Hans Amon [sic], his wife Barbara, and children (Hans, age 14; Cunigunda, age 10; Barbara, age 8; Georg, age 6; Johann, age ¾) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Hans and son Johann died en route.

Lorenz (Leitsinger)

Adam Lorenz, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 21.

The 1767 census records that Adam Lorenz came from the German village of Aschaffenburg in the Kurmainz region.

Leitsinger*

Philipp Leitsinger, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Philipp Leitsinger, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, son Johann Adam (age 8), and stepdaughters [surnames not recorded] (Margaretha, age 8; Katharina, age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Leitsinger in Household No. 1 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Straub in 1768. They had arrived in Leitsinger on 12 May 1767.

Kunzelmann*

Karl Kunzelmann, a farmer, his wife Kathairna, and children (Martin, age 19; Nikolaus, age 17; Nikolaus [again], age 15; Martin [again], age 12; Kaspar, age 8; Veronika, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766.

Klug (Leitsinger)*

Johann Philipp Klug, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 16. Most of the colonists settling in Leitsinger were Roman Catholic, but Johann Philipp Klug was Lutheran.

The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Klug is from the German village of Dens.
