Kastello
Nikolaus Kastello, a tanner (Sämischgerber), and his wife Gertrude arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.
The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Kastello came from the German village of Kastellaun.
Hernthaller
Andreas Simon Hernthaller, a single locksmith (Schlosser), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Lopamink under the command of Lieutenant Kryukov.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where he is recorded along with his new wife and newborn son in Household No. 25.
In 1787, Andreas Herrenstahler [sic] and his family moved from Graf to Schönchen.
Laibarös, Kr. Bamberg, Bayern
Laibarös is located in Upper Franconia in Bayern (Bavaria). Today it is part of the congregation of Königsfeld.
Herbst (Leitsinger)*
There are two Herbst families that migrated to Russia together. They arrived together from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766. They also travelled from St. Petersburg to Saratov together in 1767.
(1) Pankrazius Herbst, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Margaretha (age 15) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Hasselbauer
Friedrich Hasselbauer, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Lopamink under the command of Lieutenant Kryukov.
He and his new wife settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767. His unnamed wife died 14 November 1767, and he is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77. The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Friedrich Hasselbauer was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he is a mason (Maurer).
Hansmann*
Kaspar Hansmann, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and children (Joseph, age 14; Barbara, age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766.
Caspar Hansmann, his wife Margretha, and children (Joseph, age 15; Barbara, age 12) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Margretha died en route.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 78.
Hallerndorf, Kr. Forchheim, Bayern
Hallerndorf is in the Upper Franconia district of Forchheim, and from 1018 was part of the diocese of Bamberg. Today, Hallerndorf is in Bayern (Bavaria).
Haas (Leitsinger)*
Johannes Haas, son of Wolfgang & Magdalena Haas, married on 29 October 1764 in St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Hallerndorf to Magdalena Haug, daughter of Joseph & Anna Haug.
The birth of one daughter to Johannes Haas & Cunigunda [sic] Haug is recorded in the parish register of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Hallerndorf: Margaretha, baptized 28 April 1765.
Johann Haas, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and daughter Margaretha (age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766.
