Hergert (Norka)

Johann Georg Hergert, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 26 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 179.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Georg Hergert came from the German district of Isenburg.

Hirstein

Wilhelm Hirstein, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 74.

Wilhelm Herstein [sic] is recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Supplemental Household No. 7.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that he came from the German district of Hessen.

Hoffmann (Norka)

Thomas Hoffmann, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria Katharina, and son Johann Jakob (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 June 1766 aboard the Russian boat named Святой Павел (Saint Paul) under the command of Midshipman Fyodor Sornev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 95.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Thomas Hoffmann came from the German district of Isenburg.

Ho(h)mann (Norka)

Jakob Homann and his wife Anna Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 140.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Jakob Homann came from the German district of Hessen.

Holler (Norka)

Friedrich Holler, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Kronverk under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Ilyin.

Friedrich Holler, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 18 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.

Huck (Norka)

Johannes Huck, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 131.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johannes Huck came from the German district of Hessen.

Keier (Norka)

Orphan Elisabeth Keier, daughter of the deceased Johannes Keier, is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 208 along with the Ludwig Mersch family. They had settled there on 2 September 1767.

The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Keier and Mersch families.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this family, so the surname does not continue among the Volga German colonies.

Reichert (Norka)

Johann Adam Reichert, a single farmer, arrived in Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 where he is recorded on the 1767 census along with his new wife Katharina.

Adam Reichert, his wife Katharina, and children (Nikolaus, age 7; Anna Katharina, age 4; Anna Magdalena, age 2½) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 30.

Reich (Norka)

[Johannes] Konrad Reich settled in the Volga German colony of Norka. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 67 living with the Konrad Fischer family. A relationship between the Reich and Fischer family is not recorded on the 1767 census.

Johannes Reich, his wife Christina, and daughters (Katharina, age 5; Anna Margaretha, age 3) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 136.

Johannes Reich (age 51) is recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr091.

Pluket*

Johann Jakob Pluket and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Jakob Pluket was a joiner while the 1767 census records that he is a craftsman (Handwerker). Both documents record that Johann Jakob Plucket came from the German district of Isenburg.
