Weber (Norka)

The parish records of Hitzkirchen record that Johann Heinrich Weber, son of Johann Heinrich Weber from Wenings, and Anna Maria Reifschneider were married in Kefenrod on 2 May 1759. The baptisms of two of their children (both born in Kefenrod) are recorded in the parish register of Hitzkirchen: (1) Johann Ludwig, baptized 27 November 1760; and (2) Johannes, baptized 21 July 1764.

Schifrit*

Kaspar Schifrit and his family immigrated to Russia. Kaspar died after arrival and his widow Anna remarried to Johannes Euler. They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 86.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants among the Volga German colonies.

Scheuermann (Norka)*

Johann Hermann Scheuermann, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 8, Konrad, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Johann Charmant [sic] and his daughter Anna Elisabeth (age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the father Johann died en route.

Schön (Norka)*

The parish register of Eckartshausen records the marriage of Johannes Aschenbrenner from Eckartshausen & Friederica Elisabetha Schön from Himbach on 9 June 1763.

Johann[es] Schön, a weaver, his wife Katharina, and daughter Katharina Elisabeth (age 30) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Perepechin.

Scharf (Norka)

Johannes Scharf and his wife Anna Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1767 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Johannes and his wife Elisabeth Margaretha Scharf are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 71 along with his stepson Johannes Kraft (age 3) and Elisabeth Margaretha's children from a previous marriage [surname not recorded] (Anna Margaretha, age 14; Elisabeth, age 8; Johann Peter, age 4). They had settled in Norka on 15 August 1767.

Rothau

Philipp Peter Rothau, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 64.

By 1798, Christian Rothau had moved from Norka to Stahl am Tarlyk. Christian Rothau and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. St36.

Schäfer (Norka-4)

Georg Heinrich Schäfer, son of Johann Heinrich & Elisabeth Schäfer, was baptized on 3 October 1731 in Hitzkirchen. Anna Maria Kuhl, daughter of Conrad Kuhl, was baptized in Burgbracht on 22 June 1740.

Georg Heinrich Schäfer and Anna Maria Kuhl married in Burgbracht on 28 May 1761.

They had two children, both baptized in Burgbracht: (1) Johann Heinrich, baptized 21 May 1762; and (2) Johannes, baptized 16 May 1764.

Schäfer (Norka-3)

Konrad Schäfer, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth [sic], and children (Johann Heinrich, age 13; Anna Margaretha, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Widow Margaretha [sic] Schäfer and her son Johann Heinrich (age 14) settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 80.

Schäfer (Norka-2)

Widow Apollonia Schäfer and her children arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Apollonia Schäfer came from the German district of Isenburg.
