Fischer (Seelmann)*

Widow Maria Katharina Fischer, whose unnamed husband had died while being transported to the Volga by Lieutenant Friedrich Oldenburg, and her children (Johann Georg, age 15; Robertus, age 12; Anna Maria, age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 131 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Seelmann in 1768. They had settled in Preuss on 15 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Maria Katharina Fischer came from the German village of Wenden.

Dächel

Jakob Dächel, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 51.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Dächel came from the German village of Mörsfeld in the Kurpfalz region.

Zweigatt*

Jakob Zweigatt, a butcher (Fleischer), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Zweigatt came from the German village of Endingen.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Winkler (Preuss)

Georg Winkler & Kunigunde Beyer were married on 22 May 1766 in Roßlau.

Georg Winkler, a butcher (Fleischer), and his wife Kunigunda settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 117.

The 1767 census records that Georg Winkler came from the German village of Salgen in the region of Bayern (Bavaria).

Bessinger (Straub)*

Andreas Bessinger, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughter Elisabeth Margaretha (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 88 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Straub in 1768. They had settled in Preuss on 15 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Bessinger came from the German village of Flurstedt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Bessinger family among the Volga German colonies.

Bechter

Johannes Bechter (age 11) is recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 52 along with his stepfather Johannes Wagner.

The 1767 census does not record from where Johannes Bechter came.
