Johann Peter Thiel [sic], his wife Anna Katharina Popp, daughter Anna Gertrude, and sister-in-law Anna Margaretha Popp (age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 2 July 1772 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hartwig.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Pobochnaya on 4 July 1773.

They are recorded on a 1773 list of Pobochnaya settlers (No. 10). Anna Margaretha Popp is believed to be recorded on the 1798 census of Pobochnaya in Household No. Pb11.

Heinrich Buss, a farmer, and his wife Anna Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 79.

In 1788, Johannes Buss and his sister moved from Krasnoyar to Nieder-Monjou.

The 1767 census records that Heinrich Buss came from the German village of Hungen in the Braunfels region.

Katharina Beier, a single woman, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott along with a number of families who settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar.

She has not been identified on the 1767 census, but is recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks067 as the wife of Mattias Feller.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Katharina Beier came from the German region of Laubach.

Christoph Bauer, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Bauer came from the German village of Wetgra [?] in the Isenburg region.

Anna Batt, widow of an unnamed farmer, and her children (Johannes, age 18; Anna Maria, age 11) settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.

The 1767 census records that Anna Batt came from the German village of Alsfeld in the Darmstadt region.

Johann Georg Happel & Anna Margr. Denes were married on 19 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Johann Georg Happel, his wife Anna Margaretha, and servant Anna Margaretha [surname not recorded] (age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

Johann Schneider, a farmer, his wife Gertrude [Helfenbein, widow of Johannes Felde], and newborn son Johann Kaspar (age 3-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kraft in Household No. 16. They had settled there on 18 August 1767.

Johannes Schneider and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Household No. Kf44.

Kaspar Schneider, son of Johannes Schneider, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Household No. Kf60.

The death of Kaspar Schneider in 1820 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kraft in Household No. 10.

Heinrich Weitzel, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

Heinrich settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 16 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 83 along with his new wife Elisabeth.

In 1789, Kazimir Weitzel moved from Kutter to Balzer.

The 1798 census of Kutter records in Household No. Kt47 that Johann Jakob Weitzel is working in Beauregard.
