Höppner (Krasnoyar)

Johan Hinr. Höpner, a miller (Müller) frm the area of Darmstadt, & Anna Barbara Rau from the area of Darmstadt were married on 28 May 1766 in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

[Johann] Heinrich Höppner and his wife Anna Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1767 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

Honburt / Humbert*

Johannes Humbert [sic], a clothmaker (Tuchmacher) from Grünberg, & Catharina Reichart née Scheitz from the county of Isenburg were married The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Johannes Honburt, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Honburt came from the German village of Grünberg in the Darmstadt region.

Hoffmann (Krasnoyar-2)

Konrad Hoffmann (age 22), a farmer, and his mother Elisabeth (age 50) settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 111.

Konrad Hoffmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks098.

Konrad Hoffmann and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 98 along with a note that his son [Johann] Heinrich relocated to the colony of Enders in 1800.

Hessler (Krasnoyar-3)*

Maria Katharina Hessler, widow of an unnamed farmer, and her stepchildren (Anna Elisabeth Schneider, age 13; Christian Friedrich Schneider, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 119.

The 1767 census records that Maria Katharina Hessler came from the German region of Laubach.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this Hessler family among the Volga German colonies.

Hessler (Krasnoyar-2)*

Johannes Hessler, a farmer, his wife Maria Barbara, and father-in-law Karl Hellmann settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 50.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Hessler came from the German village of Dienheim.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Hessler family among the Volga German colonies.

Hessler (Krasnoyar-1)*

Johann [Heinrich] Hessler, a farmer, and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14 along with this new wife Anna Margaretha.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann [Heinrich] Hessler came from the German region of Laubach.

Hahn (Krasnoyar)*

Johann Klaus Hahn, a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina, and son Christoph (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24 along with the orphan Katharina Steinbecher. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Hahn and Steinbecher families although they had arrived in Oranienbaum aboard the same ship.

Habermann (Krasnoyar)

Widow Maria Katharina Habermann and her son Konrad (age 6) settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 118.

In 1795, Konrad Habermann moved from Krasnoyar to Reinwald.

Konrad Habermann from Krasnoyar and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Reinwald in Household No. Rw73.

The 1767 census records that Maria Katharina Habermann came from the German region of Darmstadt.

Haas (Krasnoyar)

Johann[es] Haas, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42 along with his new wife Katharina [Junker].

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann[es] Haas was a cobbler from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he was a farmer from the German village of Nidda in the Darmstadt region.

Greb / Kreb (Kraft)

Johann Caspar Greb, son of Johann Caspar Greb, was baptized on 17 May 1743 in Engelrod.

Johann Kaspar Kreb, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15 along with his new wife [Elisabeth] Margaretha [Koch] and her brother Heinrich Koch (age 19).
