Engel (Frank)

Widow Elisabeth Engel and her son Ludwig (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Jungfer Friederika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.

Ludwig Engel is recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk129.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Elisabeth Engel came from the German region of Braunfels.

Müllenberg

Johann Georg Müllenberg and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Franzosen in Household No. Fz27.

Georg Müllenberg and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Franzosen in Household No. 52 along with a note that they moved to Degott in 1825 or 1826.

Joseph Müllenberg, son of Georg Müllenberg, from Franzosen and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Degott in Household No. 14.

Joseph Müllenberg and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Degott in Household No. 16.

Jeden*

The movement tables that accompany the 1798 census of the Volga German colonies record that in 1798 widower Andreas Jeden moved from Franzosen to Seelmann.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Schneider (Frank)

Gottlieb Schneider, a single tailor, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Fyodor Fyodorov.

He may be the Gottlieb Schneider who is recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk102.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Gottlieb Schneider came from the German region of Saschen (Saxony).

Schremmer*

The widow of Johann Martin Schremmer and daughter Elisabeth Margaretha (age 28) along with Elisabeth Margaretha's husband Valentin Lesser and their children are recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk122.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schremmer family among the Volga German colonies.

Beck (Frank)*

Kaspar Beck, a single tailor (Schneider), settled in the Volga German colony of Frank and is recorded there on the 1767 censusin Household No. 26.

The 1767 census records that Kaspar Beck came from the German village of Kröttenbach in the Löwenstein region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Beck family among the Volga German colonies.

Demert*

Widower Johann Friedrich Demert, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his daughter Friedrika Maria Margaretha (age 14) settled in the Volga German colony of Frank and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 60.

The 1767 census records that Johann Friedrich Demert came from the German village of Neustadt bei Dresden in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
