Rickert (Köhler)

Lorentz Rickert & Anna Cathar. Röder were married on 20 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Lorenz Riegert [sic] and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Lorenz Rückert [sic] and his new wife Magdalena Tropp are recorded on the 1767 census of Köhler in Household No. 82. They had settled in Köhler on 21 April 1767.

In 1788, Johannes Rickert moved from Köhler to Preuss.

In 1792, Sebastian Rickert moved from Köhler to Preuss.

Scherer (Grimm)*

Johann Philip Scheurer [sic] & Susanna Kreilich were married on 17 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Philipp Scherer, a tailor, and his wife Susanna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

Philipp Scherer, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Susanna are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 14.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 100.

Hess (Grimm-1)

Peter Karl Hess, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 29.

Peter Karl Hess is recorded on an appendix to the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 5 along with his new wife and children.

The 1767 census records that Peter Karl Hess came from the German village of Kleinburg.

Heidel (Messer)

Christian Heidel, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Dorothea, and children (Dorothea Katharina, age 16; Friedrich, age 14; Johann Martin, age 11½; Johann Benjamin, age 10½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 32.

Widow Dorothea Heidel and her three sons are recorded on an appendix to the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 2.

At some point, this family relocated to the colony of Messer where Friedrich is recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Ms16 and Benjamin in Household No. Ms67.

Heil (Grimm)*

Katharina Margaretha Heil (age 16), the orphaned daughter of Johann Heil, is recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 74 along with the Herman Schmidt family.

The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Heil and Schmidt families.

The 1767 census does not record from where Johann Heil came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Heil family.

Schamber (Grimm)*

Adam Schamber, a farmer, and his wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 15.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 101.

The 1767 census records that Adam Schamber came from the German region of Darmstadt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schamber family among the Volga German colonies.

Heide

Johannes Heide, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Elisabeth Dorothea, and daughter Anna Dorothea (2-weeks old) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 21.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 105.

Johann[es] Heide and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm045.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Heide came from the German region of Brandenburg.

Scheffler (Grimm)*

Konrad Scheffler, his wife Justina, and daughters (Elisabeth, age 15; Anna Maria, age 13; Katharina Elisabeth, age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Konrad Scheffler and his wife Justina are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 88.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 159 along with daughters (Anna Maria, age 21; Katharina Elisabeth, age 19 - who do not appear on the 1767 census).

Schulz (Grimm)

Gottlieb Schulz, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Sophia Annette, and children (stepson Ludwig [Vitker?], age 12; stepdaughter Sophia [Vitker], age 7; Maria Katharina, age 2 weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 26.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 110.

The 1767 census records that Gottlieb Schulz came from the German region of Darmstadt.

Fischler

Johannes Fischler, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Magdalena, and children (Johannes, age 14½; Anna Margaretha, age 12; Anna Katharina, age 6½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 19.

Ludwig Fischler, his wife Maria Magdalena, and children (Katharina, age 15; Johann Daniel, age 5½; Margaretha, age 1) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 104. Johannes Fischler, his wife Barbara, and son Andreas (age ¼) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 59.
