Götz (Grimm-1)

Nikolaus Götz, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Anna Maria, and son Johannes (age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 65.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 140.

The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Götz came from the German town of Frankfurt am Main.

Götz (Grimm-2)

Andreas Götz, a single man, arrived at the port of Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard and ship under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.

An Andreas Götz, a single man, is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 1 along with the Christoph Brehning family and two other boys (Johann Georg Ruhl, age 6 & Johann Jost Kroll, age 18). The 1767 census does not record relationships among the Götz, Brehning, Ruhl, and Kroll families.

Faust / Foos (Schuck)*

Johann Jakob Faust, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Susanna Maria, and her children (Johann Georg [Rolheiser], age 16; Georg Adam [Rolheiser], age 14; Johann Mattias [Rohleiser], age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 37. They had settled there on 1 May 1767.

It is interesting to note that his daughter has been adopted by Heinrich Samuel Niedens in the colony of Kratzke (see photo of Kratzke census).

Rolheiser

Johann Georg Rolheiser (age 16) and his brothers Georg Adam (age 14) and Johann Mattias (age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 37 along with their mother and stepfather Johann Jakob Faust/Foos.

The widow of Georg Rolheiser and his children are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km051.

In 1791, Georg Adam Rohleiser and his family moved from Franzosen to Husaren. Georg Adam Rolheiser from Franzosen and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Husaren in Household No. Hn14, and his son Anton in Household No. Hn10.

Wagner (Schönchen)

Friedrich Wagner, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Friedrich Wagner is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Schönchen on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23.

The 1798 census of Ober-Monjou records Friedrich Wagner from Schönchen in Household No. Om23.

Munsch

Christian Munsch, a miller (Müller), and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Schönchen on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.

The 1767 census records that Christian Munsch came from the German village of Helferskirchen.

Kohlbeck (Preuss)*

Theodor Kohlbeck [sic], a weaver, and his wife Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 16 August 1767. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 120 along with a note that Theodor Kohlenberg [sic] died there on 20 October 1767.
