Dortmann

Johannes Dortmann, son of Johann Georg Dortmann & Anna Margaretha Hartmann, was born on 14 June 1725 and baptized on 15 June 1725 in the Evangelical Church in Birkenau, 25 kilometers north of Heidelberg. On 22 February 1752 he married to Elisabetha Barbara Hauser, a daughter of Johannes Hauser, in the same church.

Dorsch

Johann Nikolaus Dorsch was born about 1743 in Breitenbrunn, southeast of Höchst im Odenwald. He immigrated to Russia. At the immigrant gathering point in Büdingen, he married on 30 June 1766 to Anna Margaretha Eichmann, the presumed sister of Johann Michael Eichmann who also got married that same day.

Dumler

Johann Philipp Dumler married Eva Maria Reber on 22 November 1735 in Leonbronn, south of Eppingen.

Philipp & Eva had a number of children including Johann Georg, baptized 27 January 1737 in Leonbronn. This son, Georg, and his fiancée (Anna Catharina Barbara Schmied) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 29 June 1761 under the leadership of Johann Thomas Gabler. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 4 July 1761.

Dörr (Katharinenstadt)

Johann Philipp Dörr, son of Johannes Dörr, was born in Grünberg in 1731. On 15 November 1760 he married Anna Catharina Walter, daughter of Christian Walter, a tanner also from Grünberg.

They immigrated to Russia and arrived along with daughter Anna (age 2) in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with Daniel Geier at the helm.

Dit(t)mar / Dit(t)mer*

Johann Jacob Dittmar, son of Hans Michael & Catharina Barbara Dittmar, was baptized 16 December 1706 in Mainstockheim. He first married Maria Barbara Pries on 4 November 1733 in Seckenheim. She died in Ladenburg on 17 March 1750.

He remarried in Ladenburg on 9 June 1750 to Anna Maria Ritter, daughter of Jacob & Maria Magdalena Ritter. Anna Maria Ritter had been baptized in Ladenburg on 6 December 1716.

Dietz (Kratzke)

Georg David Dietz from Erbach and his wife Angelika immigrated first to the colony of Julianenebene in Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1761.

In February 1764, they joined the migration to Russia.

David and his son (also Georg David) settled in the Volga German colony of Shcherbakovka on 15 June 1765 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Households No. 5 (father) and No. 6 (son).

In 1796, David Dietz and his family moved from Shcherbakovka to Kratzke.

David (senior) Dietz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kratzke in Household No. Kr25.

Dieser

Johann Peter Dieser, son of Jakob (born 23 September 1715 in Seligenstadt) & Anna Margaretha Dieser, was born in Seligenstadt on 13 June 1744.

Peter Dieser, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Reval at the port or Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Peter Dieser, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria Reis are recorded on the 1767 census of Leichtling in Household No. 27. They had arrived in Leichtling on 14 May 1767.

Detterer (Dönhof)

Johann Adam Detterer from Gemmingen married Maria Susanna Schmidt on 27 July 1756 in Ehrstädt-Neuhaus. She was born there on 22 June 1733.

The Detterer family moved first to the colony of Neubörm in Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein).  They left Denmark in 1765 and joined the migration to Russia.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 21 July 1766 where they are listed along with 3 children on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 8.

Deines

Johann Georg Deines, son of Johannes Deines, was confirmed on 28 July 1737 in the Lutheran Church in Lindenstruth. He married there on 27 November 1750 to Barbara Elisabeth Stumpf.

They had at least two children baptized in Lindenstruth: (1) Johann Wilhelm on 6 October 1751 and (2) Johannes on 23 June 1756. They had two additional children baptized in Alten-Buseck, west-northwest of Lindenstruth: (1) Anna Elisabetha on 7 December 1760 and (2) Anna Margaretha on 22 January 1764.
