Haak (Krasnoyar)

Karl Haak was born in approximately 1791 in Germany. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar.

He is recorded on the 1834 Krasnoyar Census in Household No. 112 and on the 1850 Krasnoyar Census in Household No. 173.

Holzhauer

Heinrich Holzhauer was born in approximately 1791 in the German region of Westfalen.  He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar.

He is recorded on the 1834 Krasnoyar Census in Household No. 156 and on the 1850 Krasnoyar Census in Household No. 238.

Schwen(t)zel

Konrad Schwenzel was born in approximately 1791 in Bavaria.  He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler.

He is recorded on the 1834 Dehler Census in Household No. 52. His death is recorded on the 1850 Dehler Census, but the exact year is not recorded.

Schweffel

Valentin Schweffel, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.

In 1828, Jakob Schweffel moved from Reinwald to Dehler.

The 1767 census records that Valentin Schweffel came from the German village of Mannheim in the Kurpfalz region.

Gerhardt (Straub)

Johann Just Gerhardt and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Vergelte Weintraube under the command of Skipper Anderson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Just Gerhardt was a miller while the 1767 census records that he was a butcher (Fleischer).

Frick (Straub)

Peter Frick, a farmer, his wife Sophia, and children (Johann, age 21; Maria, age 19; Barbara, age 17; Eva, age 15; Sibylla, age 8; Sebastian, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the ship named Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.

Peter Frick, a farmer, his wife Sophia Margaretha, and children (Johannes, age 22; Maria Barbara, age 17; Eva Katharina, age 16; Sibylla, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Straub in Household No. 46. They had settled in Straub on 12 July 1767.

Bäcker / Becker (Straub-1)*

Johann Matthias Bäcker, a farmer, his wife Henrietta, and children (Wilhelm, age 24; Maria, age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the ship named Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42 along with the orphaned children of Andreas Heller. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Bäcker and Heller families.
