Chandelier

Johann Chandelier, a farmer, and his wife Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.

The 1767 census records that Johann Chandelier came from the German village of Busendorf in the region of Lothringen.

Schamne / Chaminé

Nikolaus Chaminé, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and son Peter (age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Louis in Household No. 12. They had arrived in Louis on 14 June 1766.

In 1788, Anton Chaminé moved from Graf to Mariental. Descendants of the Schamne family in Graf moved to Herzog.

Over the years, this family adopted a German spelling of Schamne.

The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Chaminé came from the German region of Trier.

Bauer (Brabander)

Matthias Bauer, a single farmer, and his mother Magdalena arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of the skipper Markus Dragun.

Mathias Bauer and his mother Magdalena are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Magdalena died enroute.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 126.

Bauer (Louis-2)

Simon Bauer, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The 1767 census records that Simon Bauer came from the German village of Frauenberg in the region of Lothringen.

Bauer (Louis-1)

Widower Johannes Bauer, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. He is recorded in Louis on the 1767 census in Household No. 47 along with the Peter Hild family.  Peter Hild's wife is recorded as Katharina Bauer and she is presumed to be the daughter of Johannes.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Bauer came from the German village of Bernkastel in the region of Kurtrier.

Barbie (Louis)

Widow Elisabeth Barbie, a farmer, and her children (Johannes, age 15; Anna Franziska, age 12; Nikolaus, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Louis in Household No. 26. They had settled there on 14 June 1766.

In 1788, Johann Barbie and his family moved from Louis to Mariental.

The 1767 census records that Elisabeth Barbie came from the German village of Bitsch in the region of Lothringen.

Auer (Louis)*

Anton Aue [sic] & Magdalena Schönberger were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau.

Anton Auer, a farmer, and his wife Magdalena settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40.

Anton Auer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Louis in Household No. Ls23.

The death of Anton Auer 1826 is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 83.

The 1767 census records that Anton Auer came from the Tyrol region of Austria.
