Resner (Hildmann)*

Johann Adam Resner, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Konrad, age 22; Maria Elisabeth, age 20; Elisabeth, age 16; Johann, age 12; Katharina, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

The parents and several children died after arrival in Russia. The surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Hildmann on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 45.

Resch (Krasnoyar)*

Mattias Resch, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and children (Michael, age 23; Heinrich, age 21, Elisabeth, age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Widower Mattias Resch and his children (Heinrich, age 23; Elisabeth, age 18) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rosenheim in Household No. 71 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Krasnoyar in 1768. They had settled in Rosenheim on 27 June 1767.

Rempe

There are two Rempe families traveling together to the Volga German colonies. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Georg Justus Rempe, son of Philip Conrad Rempe & Anna Elisabeth Tiehl, was baptized on 7 June 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck.

Reitz (Kukkus)

Konrad Reitz and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum 8 August 1766 on a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Gottfried Seelender.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Reitz was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a hunter (Jäger).

The 1767 census records that Konrad Reitz came from the German village of Alsbach in the Kurpfalz.

Reinhard(t) (Mariental)

Jakob Reinhardt, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Reinhardt came from the German region of Blieskastel.

Reinhard(t) (Warenburg)*

Heinrich [Christoph] Reinhardt and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 3 June 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 27 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34 with a note that they resettled in 1768 to the colony of Warenburg.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Reinhardt was a cobbler while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.

Reimer (Kaneau)

Conrad Christoph Riemer & Christiana Charlotte Spretz were married on 8 April 1766 in Roßlau.

Konrad Christoph Reimer, a carpenter (Zimmermann), and his wife Charlotta arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Conrad Riemer, his wife Charlotta, and daughter Susanna [born en route] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
