Kreiss (Seelmann)

Jakob Kreiss, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and daughter (Cunigunda, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Seelmann on 15 July 1767. His wife died on 3 September 1767 and he is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 76.

Jakob is recorded on the 1798 census in the colony of Preuss (Ps67).

Krecker

Andreas Krecker, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Messer on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Krecker came from the German district of Isenburg.

Kerbst*

Gottfried Krebst, a baker (Bäcker), his wife Katharina, and stepsons (Christian Friehof, age 13; Gottfried Friehof, age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 47 along with a note that they resettled to the colony of Basel in 1768. They had arrived in Kaneau on 3 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that he was a baker (Bäcker) from the German village of Krina.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Kraus (Orlovskaya)

Johann Gottlieb Krause & Sophia Friederike Schröter were married on 10 April 1766 in Roßlau.

Christina died, and Gottlieb remarried to Friederika. They settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The 1767 census records that Gottlieb Kraus came from the German region of Zerbst.

Kraus (Krasnoyar)

Johann Caspar Kraus from Freÿensehen [Freienseen] & Eva Volck from Weickersheim were married on 17 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Johann Kaspar Kraus, a farmer, and his wife Eva arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 116.

Kranewitter

Johannes Kranewitter, a baker (Bäcker), and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hans Karholm.

Johannes Kranewinder [sic] and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63.

Krampf*

Friedrich Krampf, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Maria Sophia under the command of Skipper Johann Bauert.

Friederich Krampf is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 19 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 61.

Kramm*

Andreas Kramm, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.

Martin Kramm is recorded on the 1834 census of Mariental in Household No. 227 along with a note that he had relocated there from Louis in 1821 and died in 1832. He is also recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 124 along with a note that he died in 1831.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Kramm came from the German region of Würzburg.

Krämer (Susannental)

Heinrich Krämer, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Joachim, age 22; Simon, age 20; Heinrich, age 17; Georg [Philipp], age 15; Louisa, age 10; Anna, age 10; Kunigunda, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
