Georg(e) (Norka)

Peter Georg, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant ergey Bartenyev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Peter Georg came from the German district of Isenburg.

Gedde (Norka)

Heinrich Gedde and his family immigrated to Russia. Only one of his children, Heinrich Gedde (age 13), appears to have survived the journey to the Volga German colonies where he is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 121 living with the Heinrich Breitenstein family.

Recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 167 are Heinrich Breitenstein, his wife Anna Katharina, and orphan Johann Heinrich Kitz [?] (age 19). This Johann Heinrich Kitz is assumed to be the same child recorded in 1767 as Heinrich Gedde.

Eberhard(t) (Norka-2)*

Johann Hermann Eberhardt, son of Johann Michael Eberhardt & Susanna Roth, was born on 3 August 1730 in Mauswinkel.

Johann Hermann married on 7 March 1761 in Mauswinkel to Susanna Eisenhut from Kirchbracht, daughter of Johannes Eisenhut & Anna Margaretha Steuernagel. She had been born 19 April 1739 in Kirchbracht.

They had sons born in Mauswinkel: (1) Johannes, born 24 December 1761, baptized 27 December 1761; and (2) Johann Peter, born 31 May 1763, baptized 5 June 1763.

Eberhard(t) (Norka-1)*

Martin Eberhardt and his family immigrated to Russia. The only surviving member of the family appears to be Magdalena Eberhardt (age 8) who is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 90 living with the Johannes Kleiber family. The relationship between the Eberhardt and Kleiber families is not recorded on the 1767 census.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Eberhardt family among the Volga German colonies.

Göbel (Norka)

Sebastian Göbel, a tailor (Schneider), married on 24 November 1723 in Büdingen to Anna Elisabeth Meyer. She had been baptized 15 October 1702 in Büdingen.

The baptism of Johann Peter Göbel, son of Sebastian Göbel & Anna Elisabeth Meyer, is recorded in the parish register of Büdingen on 16 January 1740.

Dö(h)ring (Norka-2)

Heinrich Döring, a farmer, his wife Maria, children (Johann, age 12; Bernhard [sic], age 9; Anna, age 4), and servant Johann [Hassenflug] (age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Dö(h)ring (Norka-1)*

Johann Just Döring, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 26 August 1767 where he is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 192 along with his new wife Anna Margaretha.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Just Döring is a cobbler while the 1767 census records that he is a craftsman (Handwerker). Both documents record that he came from the German district of Stollberg.

Dietz (Norka)*

Kaspar Dietz, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heidemann.

Kaspar died and his widow Maria married Johannes Milling [Milgenk] and settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767.  Maria also died, and Johannes Milling [Milgenk] remarried to widow Magdalena Bartel and they are recorded in Norka on the 1767 census in Household No. 118. Kaspar Dietz's surviving youngest daughter, Susanna (age 6), is also recorded in Household No. 118 on the 1767 census of Norka.

Dick (Norka)

Konrad Dick, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 2 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 204.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Dick came from the German district of Hessen while the 1767 census records that he came from the German district of Hanau.

Bruhn

Johann Konrad Brunn was born about 1711 and died 22 April 1794 in Kellenbach. He married Julianna Elisabeth Hermann (born about 1714) were married in Kellenbach on 5 January 1740.

Among their children born in Kellenbach & baptized in the Reformed Church in Kellenbach are: (1) Philipp Jacob, baptized 23 March 1741; and (2) Johannes, born 4 September 1744, baptized  September 1744, died 15 December 1823 [in Kellenbach].
