Delen*

Wihelm Delen was born in approximately 1788. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.

He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Louis.

He is recorded on the 1834 Census of Louis in Household No. 120 (under the surname of Delepte) along with a note that he had died  in 1822.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Orth (Mariental)

Bartel Artu was born in approximately 1787 [per Bettinger 1834 census] 1791 [per Mariental 1850 & 1857 censuses]. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.

He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental.

The marriage of Bartholomeus Arduee [sic] to Barbara Heinz is recorded in the parish register of Mariental on 28 January 1819. The marriage register records that he is from Monetam, France, near Lyon.

Stroh (Nieder-Monjou)

Jakob Stroh was born in approximately 1790. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Schäfer.

He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Schäfer in Household No. 71 along with a note that he had moved to the colony of Nieder-Monjou in 1819. The 1834 census of Nieder-Monjou records Jakob Stroh in Household No. 82. The 1850 census of Nieder-Monjou records Jakob Stroh in Household No. 137. The 1857 census of Nieder-Monjou records Jakob Stroh in Household No. 146.

Stielgenbauer*

Johann Peter Stielgenbauer was born in approximately 1791. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Schwab.

He is recorded there on the 1834 census of Schwab in Household No. 98, on the 1850 census of Schwab in Household No. 109, and on the 1857 census of Schwab in Household No. 109 along with a note that he had died there in 1853.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Schweitzer (Yagodnaya Polyana)

Martin Schweitzer was born in approximately 1791. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana. He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 151 and on the 1857 Census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 223 along with a note that he had died there in 1852.

Schwar(t)z (Louis)

Peter Schwartz was born in approximately 1790 in the historical region of Lotharingia. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Louis. He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Louis in Household No. 113 along with a note that he had died there in 1828.

Pinar / Pinter

André Pinar was born in approximately 1785. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Mariental in Household No. 225 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Louis in 1818.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 68. He is recorded on the 1850 census of Louis in Household No. 95 along with a note that he had died in 1850.

Bort(h) (Katharinenstadt)

Hartmann Borth was born in approximately 1785. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.

He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 222, on the 1850 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 295, and on the 1857 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 321 along with a note that he had died there in 1851.

Schönwolf

Peter Schönwolf was born about 1791 in the German region of Westfalen. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Enders.

His death in 1830 is recorded on the 1834 Census of Enders in Household No. 63.

Schirgin

Johann Gottfried Schirgin was born in approximately 1792 in the Netherlands. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.

He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya.

He is recorded there on the 1834 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 129 and on the 1850 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 159 along with a note that he had died there in 1847.
