Betz (Norka)*

Johann Heinrich Betz, son of Johann Martin & Anna Margretha Betz, was baptized in Wenings on 12 October 1731.

Anna Sibilla Krumm, daughter of Johannes and Elisabeth Krumm, was baptized in Wenings on 17 July 1732.

Johann Heinrich Betz & Anna Sibilla Krumm married in Wenings on 24 March 1756.

Fehr (Boisroux)*

Johann Friedrich Fehr, a single carpenter (Tischler), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Fried. Fahr [sic], his wife Anna, and daughter Christina (born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Bittner (Katharinenstadt)*

Johann Georg Bütner, a weaver, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pinkom.

Johann Büttner, his wife Susanna, and children (Georg Elias, age 18; Margaretha, age 15¼; Catharina, born in route) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn Catharina also died in route. George Schmidt is also traveling with them.

Berg (Boisroux)

The St. Martini Parish register of Stolberg records the births and baptisms of the following children of Johann Tobias Berg, a meal miller (Mahlmüller): (1) Anna Katharina Phillipina, born 7 July 1743, died 7 July 1743; (2) Christoph Ludewig, born 9 June 1744, baptized 12 June 1744; (3) Johann Mathias, born 20 August 1746, baptized 22 August 1746; (4) Johann Conrad Heinrich, born 21 June 1747, baptized 23 June 1747; (5) Johann Christoph, born 8 September 1750, baptized 10 September 1750; and (6) Johann Andreas, born 10 July 1753, baptized 13 July 1753.

Rosemann*

Johann Andreas Rosemann, a locksmith (Schlosser), and his wife Ulrica arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Joh. Heinr. Rossemann [sic] and his wife Ulrica are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Bettinger on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 7.

In 1781, Andreas Rosemann left the colony.

Paul (Bettinger)*

Peter Paul, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Peter Paul is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Bettinger on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Peter Paul came from England.

Dechant (Ober-Monjou)

Johannes Dechant, a cabinet maker (Tischler), his wife Anna, and children (Johann, age 5; Anna, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Johannes Dechant, his wife Anna, and daughter Anna Maria (age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 64. They had settled in Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767.

The widow and children of Johannes Dechant are recorded on the 1798 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. Om68.

Brandt (Ober-Monjou)*

Burghard Brandt, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 5 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.

The 1767 census records that Burghard Brandt came from the German village of Netlangen in the district of Würzburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Brandt family among the Volga German colonies.
