Frei (Leichtling)

Mathæus Freÿ from Seligenstadt & Sara Schneider were married on 4 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Matthias Frei and his wife Sara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 39.

Mattias Frei and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. Lg24.

Daumreich

Johann[es] Daumreich, a farmer, his wife Anna, and daughter Anna (age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 47.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Daumreich came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that Johannes Daumreich came from the German village of Aschaffenburg.

Falk (Leichtling)

Valentin Falk, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

The 1767 census records that Valentin Falk came from the German village of Seligenstadt in the region of Mainz.

Ewald (Leichtling)

Jakob Ewald, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and children (Friedrich, age 8; Katharina, age 6; Dorothea, age 4; Margaretha, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.

The widow of son Friedrich and his children are believed to be recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se18.

Eder

Bernhard Eter [sic] & Catharina Bing were married on 9 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen.

Bernhard Eder, a tailor (Schneider), his wife Catharina, and children (johann, age 20; Barbara, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Bessemer (Leichtling)

Ludwig Bessemer, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 44.

The 1767 census records that Ludwig Bessemer is from the German village of Aschaffenburg.

Bernhard(t) (Leichtling-2)

Adam Bernhardt, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Roeder.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The son and daughter (Sebastian & Katharina) of the deceased Adam Bernhardt are recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. Lg31.

Bernhard(t) (Leichtling-1)*

Balthasar Bernhardt, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.

The 1767 census records that Balthasar Bernhardt came from the German village of Aschaffenburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Bernhardt family among the Volga German colonies.

Berger (Leichtling)

Joseph Berger, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 41.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Berger is from the German village of Bühlertann in the region of Schwaben (Swabia).
