Meier (Shcherbakovka-3)

Georg Adam Meyer, son of Johann Georg Meyer & Catharina Weidelich, was born 22 April 1721 in Weissach.

Georg Adam Meier, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Johann Philipp Adam, age 15; Katharina, age 13; Georg Jakob, age 12; Johannes, age 9; Anna Dorothea, age 7; Maria Elisabeth, age 3) migrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 1 August 1761 where they registered on 3 August 1761. They eventually settled in the Danish colony of Friederichsthal.

They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 6 June 1763 and joined the migration to Russia.

Meier (Shcherbakovka-2)

There are two Meier families that settled in the Volga German colony of Shcherbakovka on 15 June 1767. It is not known whether they are related to each other. On the 1767 census, both families are recorded as being from Laudenberg.

(1) Leonhard Meier, his wife Anna Katharina, and son Martin (age 5) are recorded on the 1767 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 20.

The widow of Leonhard Meier and her children are recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv23.

Meier (Dönhof)

Alexander Meier, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 21 July 1766. Alexander, his wife Anna Katharina, and son Georg Michael (age 1) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 45.

In 1794, Johann Christoph Meier moved from Dönhof to Kratzke.

Desdendants of this Meier family (Johannes, born in 1835 in Dönhof) later moved to the daughter colony of Gnadenfeld.

The 1767 census records that Alexander Meier came from the German region of Württemberg.

Koleber

Three Kolebers were from the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. They are believed to be siblings: Gottlieb, Katharina, and Konrad.

Katharina Koleber (wife of Johann Georg Pfalz) and her brother Konrad Koleber are recorded on the 1798 census of Hussenbach in Household No. Hs031.

Konrad Koleber is recorded on the 1811 census of Hussenbach in Household No. 31 along with anote that he left Hussenbach in 1808 for an illegible location. He is not recorded in any of the Volga German colonies on the 1834 census.

Bork

Johann Michael Bork and his son Jakob Rudolf (age 5½) settled in the Volga German colony of Schilling where they are recorded on the supplement to the 1775 census in Household No. 5. Notes accompanying the 1775 census record that Bork was a maker of lace and braids, but because of this "great weight" is in poor health.

In 1788, Jakob Bork moved from Schilling to Mariental.

Kaufmann (Schilling)

Johann Kaufmann, a weaver, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

He, his wife Elisabeth, and their children (Anna Maria, age 5½; Johannes, age 3) are recorded recorded on a supplement to the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 3.

Kehm (Schilling)

Friedrich Kehm, his wife Elisabeth, and their children (Karolina, age 9; Maria Katharina, age 4½; Tobias Kaspar, age 2½) are recorded on an appendix to the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 3. Notes accompanying the 1775 census record that Kehm is an apprentice merchant and bookkeeper.

Wagner (Schilling)

Widow Barbara Wagner and her sons (Christian, age 6½; Johann Peter, age 4) are recorded on an appendix to the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 7 along with her stepdaughter Katharina (age 18) whose surname is not recorded.

Templing

Karl Templing and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Schilling where they are recorded on the supplement to the 1775 census in Household No. 6. Notes accompanying the 1775 census record that Templing is an apprentice merchant and bookkeeper, but that he is considered insane. He survives because his wife is a diligent worker.

In 1796, widow Sophia Templing and her son Johann Karl moved from Schilling to Kratzke.

Karl Templing from Schilling and his wife Anna Dorothea Knaus are recorded on the 1798 census of Kratzke in Household No. Kr34.
