Hartmann (Zürich-2)

Johann Philipp Hartmann, his wife Johanna, and sons (Just, age 12; Anton, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder. Christian Hartmann, a single man, was also aboard this ship.

Johann Philip Hartmann, his wife Johanna, and sons (Jost Heinrich, age 13; Anton, age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with Christian Hartmann.

Remmler (Luzern)*

Johann Riemler [sic], a physician, his wife Anna, and children (Regina, age 6; Christoph, age 4; Johann, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Michael Rümler, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Rosina Louissa, age 6; Jacob, age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that wife Anna Margaretha and daughter Rosina Louissa died en route.

Schlotter (Luzern)*

The baptism of Johannes Philipp Schloder, son of Johannes Jakob Schloder & Anna Maria Basser, is recorded on the parish register of Orb on 1 November 1739.

Philipp Schlotter, a farmer, and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Philipp Schluder [sic] and his wife Barbara are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Schmidt (Luzern)

Johann[es] Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Joh. Schmiedt [sic] and Anna Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits appended to the 1767 census in Household No. 97 along with a note that they settled in the Volga German colony of Luzern in 1768.

Schönthaler

Ludwig Schönthaler, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Maria, age 5; Georg, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Ludw. Schönthaler, his wife Catharina, and sons (Georg, age 3; Johannes, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both sons died en route.

In 1787, Heinrich Schönthaler moved from Luzern to Schönchen.

Siebert (Luzern)

Konrad [surname not recorded] (age 13), stepson of Georg Degner, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Johann Georg Degener [sic], his wife Cathrina, and son Konrad [Siebert] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the mother Cathrina died en route.

Werner (Luzern)

Johann Philipp Werner & Maria Elisabeth Ruckemesser were married in Vilbel on 27 November 1759.

Johann [Philipp] Werner, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, children (Katharina [Elisabeth], age 7; Anna, age 5; Johann[es], age ½), and his sister Katharina (age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Schmeltzer

Johann Schmeltzer, a farmer, his wife Maria, daughters (Katharina, age 6; Margaretha, age 2), and servant Eva Katharina [Beck] (age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Johann Schmeltzer, his wife Friederica, and daughters (Cathrina [sic], age 5; Margretha [sic], age 2½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Friederica died in route.
