Schneider (Kraft-1)

Conrad Schneider & Anna Margaretha Triller were married on 8 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Johann Konrad Schneider, farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth [sic], and children (Konrad, age 4; Elisabeth, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.

Konrad Schneider, his wife Maria, and son Konrad (age 5) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kraft in Household No. 18. They had settled there on 18 August 1767.

Müller (Kraft)

Fritz [sic] Müller, a carpenter (Tischler), and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 66.

The Büdigen marriage register records the marriage of Johann Ernst Müller from Burgbracht & Anna Margaretha Emmol [sic] from Mockstadt on 14 May 1766.

Ernst Müller and Margaretha Emmel [sic] are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Household No. Kf41.

The 1767 census records that Fritz [sic] Müller came from the German village of Burgebrach.

Mack (Kraft)*

Johann Melchior Mack from Anspach & Anna Maria Dietz from the area of Lauterbach were married on 28 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Melchior Mack, a butcher (Fleischer), his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Georgina (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kraft in Household No. 3. They had settled there on 18 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Melchior Mack came from the German region of Ansbach.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Mack family among the Volga German colonies.

Lotz (Kraft)

Widow Margaretha Lotz and her children (Peter, age 21; Johann [Daniel], age 19; Anna, age 13; Konrad, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott. Another daughter, Anna [Maria] the wife of Andreas Ruhl, arrived aboard the same ship.

The children settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10 along with Anna Maria and her husband Andreas Ruhl.

Lautal*

Johann Wilhelm Lautal, a tailor (Schneider), his wife Maria Katharina, and children (Anna Maria, age 14; Georg Friedrich, age 6; Louisa Katharina, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kraft in Household No. 60.

They had settled in Kraft on 18 August 1767.

Georg Lautal is recorded on the 1798 census of Stephan in Household No. Sp02.

Georg Lautal is recorded on the 1834 census of Stephan in Household No. 46.

The death of Georg Lautal in 1838 is recorded on the 1850 census of Stephan in Household No. 85.

Haas (Kutter)

Heinrich Haas, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 16 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 75 along with his new wife Anna Margaretha.

The widow and children of Heinrich Haas are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt48.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Heinrich Haas came from the German region of Isenburg.

Dietz (Kutter)

Lorenz Dietz, son of Johann Heinrich Dietz, was baptized on 27 March 1716 in Lichenroth. On 12 February 1738 in Langendiebach, he married Anna Elisabetha Schwindt, daughter of Bernhard Schwindt.
