Schott (Moor)

Peter Schott, son of Johann Heinrich & Anna Margaretha Schott, was born 27 January 1732 in Kirchbracht.

Anna Margaretha Scheller, daughter of Johann & Anna Maria Scheller, was born 22 September 1737 in Nieder-Seemen. [See Scheller Family.]

The marriage of Johann Peter Schott from Kirchbracht to Margaretha Scheller from nearby Nieder-Seemen. Kirchbracht and Nieder-Seemen are northeast of Büdingen.

Scholl (Frank)

Johann Nikolaus Scholl was born 1 October 1729 in Höchst im Odenwald, southeast of Darmstadt. He married Anna Barbara Hofferber, daughter of Georg Philipp Hofferber & Anna Clara Kopp. Anna Barbara had been born on 27 August 1728 and baptized the same day in Höchst. They have 4 known children: (1) Johann Friedrich, born 11 February 1755; (2) Johann Anton, born 20 October 1756, (3) Johann Georg, born 14 September 1762, and (4) Maria Elisabeth, born 10 November 1762.

Müntermann

In the parish records of Fränkisch-Crumbach, Conrad Muntermann from Brensbach (3 kilometers north of Fränkisch-Crumbach, with his wife are included in a list of immigrants.

They departed from the port of Lübeck on a Russian ship under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs, and arrived in Oranienbaum, Russia, on 31 July 1766. They arrived in Shcherbakovka on 18 August 1767 and are listed there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 43.

Schnegelberger

Johann Caspar Schnegelberger, son of Hans Nicolaus Schnegelberger (born 1693) & Anna Christina Wahl, was born in Angersbach 4 September 1714. His grandfather was Eccard Schnegelberger who had been born in Rixfeld in 1655.

Johann Caspar married in 1754 to Anna Maria Becker who had been born 22 January 1729 in Angersbach. That same year, son Johann[es] was born followed by Johann Conrad in 1757 and daughter Anna Catharina in 1763.

Schmun(c)k (Dobrinka)

Johann Conrad Schmunck, son of Johann Peter Schmunck & Anna Dörr, was born 15 June 1722 in Erlau. He married on 20 April 1751 in Fränkisch-Crumbach to Anna Elisabetha Margareth Lortz, daughter of Philipp Lortz & Anna Catharina Daum of Asbach. She had been born on 6 February 1726 in Asbach.

Schneider (Köhler)

Three Schneider families came from the village of Herbstein, between Giessen and Fulda. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Lorenz Schneider, son of Lorenz & Maria Margaretha Schneider, was baptized 30 January 1727 in Herbstein. He married on 23 May 1746 in Herbstein to Catharina Elisabetha Staubach. Their children, each born in Herbstein, were: (1) Johann Mattheaus, born 7 July 1747; (2) Johann Paul, born 27 August 1748; (3) Johann Heinrich, born 7 January 1757; and (4) Maria Ursula, born 23 December 1761.

Schlegel (Messer)

Conrad Schlegel, his wife Christina, and children (Louisa, age 24; Johann, age 16; Dorothea, age 8; Maria, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Messer on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census along with 3 children (Johannes, Anna Dorothea, and Anna Elisabeth) in Household No. 53.

Schmidt (Hockerberg)

Johann Georg Schmitt married on 12 May 1744 in Großen-Buseck to Anna Margaretha Grommes. They had 6 known children, all born in Großen-Buseck, north of Frankfurt: (1) Caspar, born 11 September 1746; (2) Johann Philipp, born 26 December 1747 & died 6 January 1751; (3) Catharina, born 14 December 1749; (4) Johann Daniel, born 11 April 1752; (5) Maria Gertraud, born 11 November 1757; and (6) Johann Philipp, born 15 June 1760.

Schimpf (Dobrinka)

Johann Jakob Schimpf, son of Johann Conrad Schimpf & Anna Schaurer, was born 6 June 1721 in Reichelsheim. He married on 27 June 1743 in Bensheim to Anna Catharina Deichert, daughter of Johann Andreas & Maria Elisabetha Deichert from Zell. She had been born 3 December 1718 in Zell.

Schicketantz

There are three Schicketantz families from Sprendlingen that immigrated to Russia. They are distantly related to each other.

(1) Daniel Schicketantz, son of Johann Henrich Schickedanz & Elisabetha Jung, was born in Sprendlingen on 22 May 1744.

Daniel Schicketantz, a single man, arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
