Arn(h)old (Preuss)

Johann Arnold, a single belt-maker (Riemer), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 78 along with his new wife Anna Maria.

The 1767 census records that Johann Arnold came from the German village of Saalfelden in the region of Salzburg.

Werner (Preuss)

Konrad Werner, a miller (Müller), and his wife arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 81.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Konard Werner came from the German region of Regensburg.

Werner (Keller)

Albertus Werner and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the hooker Anna Catharina under the Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Albertus Werner was a wheelwright while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.

The 1767 census records that Albertus Werner came from the German village of Hesseneck in the Kurmainz region.

Werner (Brabander)

Andreas Werner, a farmer, and his wife arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aoard a ship under the command of Skipper Heidemann.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

Andreas Werner and his sons are recorded on the 1811 census of Brabander in Household No. 37. A note records that Peter Werner, son of Andreas Werner, relocated to the colony of Dehler in 1800.

Wenzele

Kaspar Wenzele, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 20 September 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 91. The 1767 census records that Kaspar Wenzele came from the German village of Poduch in the Kurmainz region.

Wen(t)zel (Keller-1)

Kaspar Wenzel, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the hooker Anna Catharina under the Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 74 with a note that he's working elsewhere (unclear).

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Kaspar Wenzel came from the Kurmainz region.

Wild (Laub)

Jakob Will, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.

In 1790, Jakob Will and his family moved from Laub to Preuss.

Later documents record this surname as Wild and Wilt.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Will came from the German village of Grebenhain in the Darmstadt region.
