Erne

Blasius Erne, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 16 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.

The 1767 census records that Blasius Erne came from the German village of Blasien (?).

Erbes (Dönhof)

The births of the following children of Peter & Julianna Erbes are recorded in the parish register of Mittel-Seeman: (1) Johann Heinrich, born 22 October 1744; (2) Elisabeth, born 22 August 1752; and (3) Juliana, born 7 July 1761.

Peter Erbes, a farmer, his wife Julianna, and children (Johann [Heinrich] & his wife Anna; Kaspar, age 18; Elisabeth, age 15; Johann Heinrich, age 8; Julianna, age 5) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mathias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

Erb (Jost)*

David Erb, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the ship named Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.

The 1767 census records that David Erb came from the German village of Ludwigsburg in the Württemberg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Erb family among the Volga German colonies.

Enslinger

Johann Enslinger, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 15 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 86 along with his new wife Anna Maria (from the region of Regensburg).

The 1767 census records that Johann Enslinger came from the German village of Weissenburg in France.

Engelmann (Urbach)

Johann Andreas Engelmann, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Urbach on 13 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.

In 1775, Andreas Engelmann and his family moved from Urbach to Stahl am Tarlyk.

Engelmann (Kukkus)

Philipp Engelmann, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Wilhelmina, age 13; Philipp, age 10; Johann, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a koff named Alette under the command of Skipper Wybe Hendricks.

Philip Engelmann, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Wilhelmina, age 15; Philip, age 11; Johann Peter, age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Maria Elisabeth died en route.

Engelmann (Dietel)

Peter Engelmann, a farmer from Pfalz, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann, age 17¼; Elisabeth, age 13; Katharina, age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Severnyi Orel (Northern Eagle) under the command of Lieutenant Pyotr Malenkov.

Widower Peter Engelmann and his children (Johann Jakob, age 19; Elisabeth Margaretha, age 16; Katharina, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dietel in Household No. 34. They had settled there on 1 July 1767.
