Völler (Norka)

Just Völler, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 22 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 213.

The 1767 census records that Just Völler came from the German district of Isenburg.

Völ(c)ker (Norka)*

Orphan Christina Völker (age 18), daughter of Nikolaus Völker, is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 204 along with the Konrad Dick family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Völker and Dick families.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Völker family among the Volga German colonies.

Vögler (Norka)

The baptisms of the following children of Nikolaus Vögler and his wife Anna Nagelschmidt from Radmühl are recorded in the parish registers of the nearby village of Unterreichenbach: (1) Anna Margaretha, baptized 21 September 1757; (2) Eva Catharina, baptized 8 December 1759; and (3) Johann Georg, born 27 September 1764. The death of an unnamed son (age 1½) on 23 May 1763 is also recorded there.

Trüber

This surname has been attributed with various spellings by different translators including Trippel, Tripper, and Trüber.

Martin Trüber from Dudenrod married on 11 July 1747 in Wolf to Anna Elisabetha Becker, daughter of Hartmann Becker.

The baptisms of two children born to Martin Trüber & Anna Elisabeth Becker are recorded in the parish register of Wolf: (1) Nicolaus in 1749; and (2) Anna Elisabetha in May 1754.

Anna Elisabetha Trüber née Becker died 22 May 1760. Martin remarried on 22 December 1761 to Anna Elisabeth Krieger

Thielemann

Johannes Thielemann, a farmer, his wife Gertrude Elisabeth, and children (Anton Heinrich, age 17; Anna Elisabeth, age 11; Dorothea, age 7) settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 22 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 217.

Johannes Thielemann, his wife Gertruda Elisabeth, and daughter Elisabeth (age 15) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 133 along with their son Anton (age 24), his wife Katharina (age 19), and granddaughter Katharina Elisabeth (age 1).

Hefenieder

Johann Konrad Heffeneider and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Lieutenant Gawril Poduzki.

Johann Conrad Hefenöter, his wife Anna Maira, and daughter Eva Catrina (born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn daughter Eva Catrina also died en route.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 26 August 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 181.

Klein (Husaren)

Friedrich Klein, a farmer, his wife Maria, and daughters (Katharina, age 7; Maria, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Danzig galliot Die Hoffnung under the command of Skipper Johann Heschke.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Husaren on 17 February 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.

In 1798, Johann Adam Klein and his wife and brothers (Thomas & Philipp) moved from Husaren to Franzosen.

Lex*

Albrecht Lex, a farmer, and his wife Marianna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Danzig galliot Die Hoffnung under the command of Skipper Johann Heschke.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 1 March 1767 where they are recorded, along with their new-born daughter, on the 1767 census in Household No. 68.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Albrecht Lex came from Marienburg, Poland.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Urban (Kamenka)

Jacob Urban, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Barbara, age 19; Anna, age 18; Lorenz, age 16; Jakob, age 10; Regina, age 7; Johann, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Danzig galliot Die Hoffnung under the command of Skipper Johann Heschke.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 1 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 71.

Lorenz Urban, son of Jakob Urban, is recorded on the 1798 census of Husaren in Household No. Hn22.
