Hölzer / Helzer (Norka)

Just Höltzer [sic] (1712-1760) married 17 July 1738 in Oberzell to Elisabeth Graußhaar (1716-1758). The baptisms of four sons are recorded in the parish register of Oberzell: (1) Johannes, baptized 7 September 1739; (2) Johann Conrad, baptized 8 October 1745; (3) Johannes, baptized 1 February 1748; and (4) Johann Adam, baptized 18 February 1750.

The oldest brother Johann[es] Hölzer, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.

Hahn (Norka)

Johann Nikolaus Hahn, son of Hartmann & Anna Ursula Hahn, was born 23 June 1715 in Altengronau. He married on 10 September 1739 in Altengronau to Anna Margaretha Böhm, daughter of Johannes Böhm.

The births of the following children to Johann Nikolaus Hahn & Anna Margaretha Böhm are recorded in the parish register of Altengronau: (1) Valentin, born 3 June 1740, died 5 October 1741; (2) Melchior, born 14 September 1742; (3) Eva Elisabeth, born 2 December 1744; and (4) Conrad, born in 1748.

Reuscher (Norka)

Philipp Reuscher, son of Johannes Reuscher, was baptized in Altengronau on 26 August 1725. Philipp Reuscher married Anna Catharina Kühlmann from Altengronau on 5 March 1750.

The baptisms of 5 of the children of Philipp & Anna Catharina Reuscher are recorded in the parish register of Altengronau: (1) Johann Conrad, baptized 26 January 1750; (2) Johann Caspar, baptized 28 April 1753; (3) Johann Adam, baptized 6 October 1754; (4) Anna Barbara, baptized 5 May 1757; and (5) Gertrude, baptized 2 March 1759.

Reuter / Reiter (Norka)

Johann[es] Reuter, servant of Johannes Schnell, is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johannes Reuter, age 20, settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 26 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in the household (No. 176) of Ernst Kleer. His relationship to this family is not recorded.

In 1790, Heinrich Reuter moved from Norka to Frank.

The death of Johannes Reuter in 1800 is recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 162.

Klehr (Norka-2)

Widower Jakob [sic] Klehr and his children (Johann, age 20; Johannes, age 18; Kasimir, age 16; Heinrch, age 12; Katharina, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Klehr (Norka-1)*

Johann Ernst Clor [sic], his wife Anna Margreta, and son Conrad are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Conrad died en route.

Ernst Kleer, a craftsman, and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 26 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 176 along with Johannes Reuter (age 20).

The 1767 census records that Ernst Kleer came from the German district of Isenburg.

Kleiber (Norka)

Johannes Gleiber, son of Johannes Gleiber & Amelia Kling, was born in Hitzkirchen on 26 June 1740.  Anna Elisabeth Loos, the daughter of Nicolaus Loos & Anna Catharina Müller, was born in Wüstwillenroth on 13 December 1741. Johannes Glieber & Anna Elisabeth Loos married in Lichenroth on 23 May 1765.

Johannes & Anna Elisabeth had a son Johann Peter who was born 24 February 1765 in Wüstwillenroth.  

Adam (Norka)

Johann Martin Adam, a master wagon builder, and his first wife had six children according to the Gründau parish register, all born in Niedergründau:  (1) Susanna Maria, born 22 September 1749, died 23 September 1749; (2) Johannes, born 17 March 1751, died 25 March 1752; (3 & 4) twins born on 21 July 1753, Johann Michael (died 21 July 1753), and Johann Conrad (died 27 July 1753); (5) Anna Catharina, born 16 January 1755, died 31 July 1758; and (6) Johannes, born 28 July 1758, died 19 August 1761.

Wolf (Norka-1)*

Johann Friedrich Wolf, a baker, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Anna Elisabeth, age 6; Johann Georg, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

Johann Fridr. Wulff [sic], his wife Anna Catarina, and children (Anna Elisabeth, age 6; Hans Georg, age ½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents and son Hans Georg died en route.

Wetlaufer*

Johann Georg Wetlaufer, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the commandof Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 where Johann Georg is recorded as a widower on the 1767 census in Household No. 158.

Georg Wetlaufer, his wife Susanna, and children (Johann Peter, age 13; Anna Maria, age 13; Elisabeth Margaretha, age 4) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 29.
