Ketzko

Johann Ketzko was born in approximately 1793. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt. He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 341 along with a note that he had moved to the colony of Beauregard in 1826.

Kempf (Kempf)

Karl Kemp was born in approximately 1786 in Prussia. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Schilling. He relocated to the colony of Grimm and is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Grimm in Household No. 311. He does not appear on the 1857 Census of Grimm, so must have died there before 1850.

Keil (Zürich)

Konrad Keil served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Zürich. He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Zürich in Household No. 131 with a note that he moved to another (illegible) colony.

Castillion

Joseph Castillion was born in approximately 1790. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.

He is recorded there on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 340 along with a note that he had moved to the colony of Wittmann in 1822.

Joseph Castillion and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Wittmann in Household No. 47.

Kaminski

Panteli Kaminski was born in approximately 1789 in Austria.  He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.  He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 347 along with a note that he has been absent since 1817.

Schiro

François Chiro was born in approximately 1790. The report to Count Nesselrode about all French subjects who became Russian citizens records that he came from the town of Colmar.

He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental.

Johann Franz Schanch [sic] from Germany married in Mariental on 12 January 1815 to Sophia Elisabeth Müller.

Dessandri

Leopold Dessandri was born in approximately 1789 in the Netherlands. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.

He is on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 346 with a note that he had been absent since 1817.

Degraf (Stahl am Karaman)

François de Graf was born in approximately 1790, probably in France.  He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.

He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Karaman.  He is recorded there [under the name of Joseph Degraf] on the 1834 Census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. 76 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Schwed in 1817. He is recorded on the 1850 Census of Schwed in Household No. 5.

Schmallenberg

Wilhelm Schmallenberg was born in approximately 1771 in the German region of Mecklenberg. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians.  He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Frank.  He is recorded there on the 1834 Census of Frank in Household No. 292 with a note that he died there in 1827.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
