Wittmann (Schwed)

Widower Ignatius Wittmann, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Schwed on 1 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.

The 1767 census records that Ignatius Wittmann came from the German town of Berlin in Brandenburg.

Wiechert

Johann Heinrich Wiechert, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Schwed in Household No. 23. He had settled there on 15 November 1766.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Wiechert is from the German village of Himburg.

Schul(t)z (Schwed)*

Johann[es] Schulz, a single man, arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 April  1766 aboard a two-masted merchant ship named Der Kleine Andreas (The Little Andrew) under the command of Skipper Jacob Jensen.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Schwed on 12 July 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 along with his new wife Elisabeth and a note that he is serving as the colony's mayor (Vorsteher).

Zimmer (Brabander)

Wilhelm Zimmer and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 91 along with Katharina's orphaned brother Johann Eberhardt (age 16) and orphan Katharina Braun (age 16) whose parents died on the transport to the Volga. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Zimmer and Braun families.

Holzhausen

[Johann] Gottlieb Holzhausen, a single miller (Müller), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hans Karholm.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.

In 1797, Karl Holzhausen moved from Boisroux to Saratov.

The 1767 census records that Johann Gottlieb Holzhausen came from the German village of Schmiedenburg.

Bock (Brabander)*

[Johann] Peter Bock, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and son Peter (age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

Peter is recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 121 along with a note that Elisabeth died during the transport to the Volga region. Peter settled in Brabander on 13 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Peter Bock came from the German village of Tiegen in Lothringen.

Rach (Brabander)

Sebastian Rach, a farmer, his wife Karitas, and children (Franz, age 13; Christian, age 12; Anna Maria, age 8; Joseph, age 2½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Rach came from the German village of Oberstadt in the Schwaben (Swabia) region.

Lombar*

Simon Lombar, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Anna Elisabeth (age 10) settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 89.

The 1767 census records that Simon Lombar came from the French town of Paris.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendant lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
