Scheuermann (Kolb)

Johann Ernst Scheuermann, a tailor, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Ernst Scheuermann came from the German village of Landsendorf in the Braunfels region. This is probably Lützendorf, which is just a few kilometers southwest of Braunfels.

Rupp (Kolb)*

Johannes Rupp, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and his sister Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21.

Anna Elisabeth Rupp, widow of Johannes Rupp, and their son Johann Georg (age 23) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kolb in Household No. Ko28.

Reuber (Kolb)

Christian Reuber, his wife Anna, and son Johann (age not recorded) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Christian Reuber, his wife Anna Klara, son Johannes (age 11), and stepson Johann Georg [Kembel] (age 13) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kolb in Household No. 2. They had settled there on 13 May 1767.

Descendants of Christian Reuber are recorded on the 1834 census of Kolb in Households No. 4, 31, 50, & 91.

Rehn (Kolb)

Johannes Rhain, son of Augustini Rhain, and Barbara Margaretha Beckel, daughter of Johann Heinrich Beckel from Gelnhaar, married in Bergheim (formerly Heckenbergheim) on 6 May 1733. The baptisms of four children are recorded in the Heckenbergheim parish records: (1) Johann Christoph, born 22 October 1738, baptized 25 October 1738; (2) Margaretha, born 20 November 1739, baptized 22 November 1739; (3) Johann Heinrich, born 12 March 1744, baptized 15 March 1744; and (4) Johannes, born 29 July 1747, baptized 1 August 1747.

Plümerdorf*

Johann Plümerdorf, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Röder.

The surviving children (Johann, age 16, and Elisabeth, age 14) settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17 along with the Johannes Thiel family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Thiel and Plümerdorf families.

Paul (Kolb)*

Sebastian Paul, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Paul came from the German village of Weilmünster in the district of Weilburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Minch (Kolb)

Johann Minch, a cooper, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Son Johann Heinrich settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16 living with the Johannes Thiel family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Minch and Thiel families.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Minch came from the German village of Obersdorf in the Kurpfalz region.

Kolb (Kolb)

Andreas Kolb, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 along with a note that he is serving as the colony's mayor (Vorsteher). Recorded in the same household are orphans Christian Adam and Anna Maria Pfeifer.
